The CADENA Act

The CADENA Act (Senate Bill No. 1506), also known as the Citizen Access and Disclosure of Expenditures for National Accountability Act, is a major transparency measure in the Philippines that seeks to "blockchain the budget". 

On December 15, 2025, the Philippine Senate approved the bill on its third and final reading with a unanimous 17-0 vote.
